  • Total Participants in Phase 1&2 / 2017-18: students = 530 in Governmental school and 400 International schools. 

Activities and beneficiaries

  • Bringing students to a local farm to introduce the agriculture environment.
  • In-class schooling on nutrition, developing healthy solutions, and raising awareness.
  • Brainstorming, creating real life solutions, implementing change, & producing social impact.

Farm Your Country phase 1

The program has started in year 2014 and ended in academic year 2018-2019.

Phase 1 Program Info

It is a nutrition education program promoting healthy food choices by addressing the high obesity and diabetes rates found in the gulf. The program includes educational material on healthy food in addition to a field visit to a local farm where students plant tomatoes and vegetables and eat a healthy meal with other activities.

Phase 1 Program Goals

  1. Raising students’ awareness on proper nutrition and developing healthy solutions.
  2. Achieving change and activating the social impact through creating real and practical solutions.  
  3. Bringing students to a local farm to introduce the agriculture environment.
  4. The creative link between health, education, agriculture and the environment.

Farm Your Country phase 2

The program has started in year 2016 and continuing till this academic year 2019-2020.

Phase 2 Program Info

A program concerned with spreading the culture of agriculture and preserving the environment in alignment with Qatar vision 2030 in the aspect of environmental development, in which Alfaisal Without Borders Foundation is partnering with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment. 

Phase 2 Program Goals:

  1. Introduce students to the principles of agriculture.
  2. Help students acquire all the skills needed to take care of the plants.
  3. Increase students’ sense of responsibility toward others.
  4. Help students acquire team work and collaboration skills.
